Dear Parents
Forest School – Final Session
We will be holding a slightly longer forest school session for the final week on Thursday 31st October and Friday 1st November, depending on which day your child attends pre-school as a school starter. Both sessions will begin at 9.10 am and finish at approximately 2.30 pm. You may take your child home with you at 2.30 pm or return to collect them at 3.10 pm if you wish.
Parents/carers are invited to join us for the whole (or part) of this session where we will be taking part in activities such as:-
- Acting out the ‘Stick Man’ Julia Donaldson story and making our own stick man
- Snack time and hot chocolate around the campfire
- Toasting marshmallows
- Playing and exploring mud kitchen
- Cooking sausages
- Forest School craftWe will be having our lunch around the campfire. Please bring a small packed lunch for yourself, a warm drink and a packed lunch for your child. Please ensure that both yourself and your child are dressed appropriately for the weather with wellington boots and warm/waterproof coats. We do have a supply of children’s waterproof garments if required.Please be aware that parents will not be able to have their mobile telephones/cameras with them during this forest school session.Please complete and return the reply slip below by Monday 28th October.
