Dear Parents / Carers,

Following the Government’s recent announcement that Coronavirus restrictions will remain in place for a further four weeks, we have regrettably taken the decision to cancel this year’s summer fete. We understand that this will be a big disappointment to many of you and your children but running the fete with a limit of 30 people is simply not a viable option.

We are however going ahead with the Chinese Auction to raise some much needed funds for our pre-school. We have secured some amazing prizes and really need your help selling tickets. Please share the catalogue with your family and friends far and wide and encourage them to buy as many tickets as they can. Every £1 will make a difference! We’re really hoping we can raise £1000 this year, there will be a fundraising thermometer on display outside the office from next week showing our progress towards this goal. We will be drawing the winners live on Facebook at 2pm on Saturday 10^th July, invite to follow nearer the time.

We are a ‘nut free setting’

Please ensure that your child’s lunch does not include nuts or products that contain nuts such as peanut butter.  We also do not allow sweets, chocolate bars, crisps, or fizzy drinks.

We are passionate about healthy lunch boxes here at pre-school! Thank you to all the parents that have followed our guidelines.  If you are stuck for ideas, ask us for a lunch time leaflet.  If you have any ideas or recipes for healthy lunch boxes, please let us know, we’d love to share with other parents.

Do please check our lost property box when you’re dropping off/collecting – there are lots of unclaimed items including several items of clothing.

We are always so grateful for donations of carrier bags – we use them regularly for Fair Share groceries and sending home clothes after wet or messy play.  Please hand in at the office if you can spare a few. Thank you.

As you already know, our newsletter is currently circulated on a weekly basis.  We are currently reviewing this and would be interested to hear what parents think.  Once a week is too much?  Monthly would be too lengthy?  We’re asking parents to vote for their preference.  You can do this in the following ways:-
